Went to Boone, IA for a weekly show this past Saturday night. 140 cars in the pits. Mods, Sport Mods, Stock Cars, Hobby, Modlite.
They farm the track during a weekly show the same they do at the Super Nationals. I timed them. It took them 18-20 minutes to farm from top to bottom, water, and roll back in TWICE. When they farm, they tear it up, water, and roll it in twice back to back in 18-20 minutes.
Once a year I-80 in Nebraska gets a lot of press for being the best track in Nebraska. I am here to tell you, it is only the best track in Nebraska 4 days a year. On normal weekly shows the track is usually crap. The stands are empty, and they barely get 10 cars in a class. It's not the worst track in the state by no means. The best track in the State for weekly shows is Eagle Raceway, in Eagle NE. Best ran weekly shows, best car counts, biggest crowd on a weekly basis, and one of the best promoters in the Nation.
